Know your knees better. Knowledge will set you free. This is a course for learning and re-education, a brain-based approach to moving better, whatever the condition of your knees. The practices are simple and require no special equipment. You can do them anywhere and are encouraged to do so.

Rather than alignment practices or quad exercises (which are great), we will look at the most basic anatomy and learn sensory warmups, neuromechanic drills, and graded mobility drills for sitting, squatting, standing, and walking down slopes, and many positions in between. With over an hour of instruction, this course is meant to prepare you to move in nature, or at least a more complex environment, and serve you for a lifetime of better movement and a life you love.

  • Basic anatomy and movements of the knee
  • Sensory/neural warmups
  • Neuromechanic drills for the upper and lower leg
  • Key movements for the lower leg/knee
  • Key open-chain and closed-chain movements for the knee
  • Progressions of key knee movements in sitting, squatting, and standing positions
  • Ankle mobilizations
  • Elbow mobilizations to improve knee function/pain
  • Progressions to moving downhill/down stairs with greater ease/less pain
  • Understanding how to work with everyday knee aches when they arise
