The Power of Emotions

While walking Kai this morning, I stopped to watch these gentlemen work. Amazing craftsmen and artists. The tools, techniques, knowledge and skill on display looked like a ballet being performed.
It got me thinking about some of the emotions skillfully at work, facilitating the flow.
Panic to keep them aware of life-threatening danger. Anxiety giving them energy to plan out the whole process and meet their deadlines. Fear to keep them present and focused.
Sadness to keep them grounded and calm enough.
Anger in the form of pride and shame to keep them doing a good job and honoring their contracts and agreements to protect themselves and each other and their work.
Enough contentment to let them know they had completed the task and done good work.
Power to the people. Power to the emotions!
