Some Common Questions

You can think of "stress" as a non-specific emotion word. Simply using a more specific emotion word can often help you work better with the situation and regulate your emotions.

The fear family of emotions are on your side, helping you to be here now and take necessary actions. Getting grounded is a supportive practice for all your emotions.

Fear is your intuition speaking to you about what's happening around you and within you. Anticipating and planning for the future is the job of your anxiety.

The anger family of emotions are there to help you with this. They help you determine what you value and what needs to be protected and restored.

The sadness family of emotions serves to help you let go of what is no longer needed or workable, recognize what has been lost, and pause, rest, and relax. Allow them to do their job and you won't have to work as hard.

The better you can identify, understand, and work with your own emotions, the better you can understand and honor the emotions of others. Emotion skills are empathy skills.

Your truest guide and best source of information for all these situations is your own emotions.

From emotion problem to emotion resource–make the shift.

Your emotions motivate all your thoughts and actions.

The better you work with all your emotions, the better you understand yourself and the world around you.

Self-study has long been central to the practice of yoga.

The Yoga of the Emotions self-study courses allow you to choose the topics that interest you and study at your own pace.

They offer you tools, practices, and understandings to better engage all that consciousness has to offer and meet the challenges of a life well-lived.

These courses are also a great preparation for an individual Dynamic Emotional Integration® Consultation with me.

For help with any of the above situations, or in balancing your emotions generally and restoring their flow, a DEI Consultation might be the support you need. The consultation is neither therapy nor coaching, but a conversation with your own best guides.
