I often noticed that after a yoga class, students left with their posture and gait pretty much unchanged by the practice. A quest to make the practice "stick" beyond the sticky mat led me to learn more about the nervous system's role in posture and movement. The brain and nervous system are in charge of everything, including your walk. So how you walk reveals a lot about your nervous system.

The good thing is that the story can be told in reverse. By improving your walk, according to what is valued and measured, you can improve your brain and nervous system and thereby improve so many of the other functions your brain does. In other words, your life.

That's the improved "stickiness" of a practice that carries on after you roll up your yoga mat.

These two Walking Mindset classes begin the exploration of what it might mean and entail to "walk better." They are recordings of full spectrum yoga classes that help you to mobilize your entire body for greater ease, efficiency, strength, and grace.

Session 1 looks more at the upper body, and Session 2 looks more at the lower body. You can begin the process of self-assessment and learn practices to help you shift your walk toward increased power. (Cue the Bee Gees!)
