In this Yoga of the Emotions Workshop we will learn to not only become miners of our own heart of gold, but how to fashion that elemental power into jewels of refined beauty, self-knowledge, and action.
We will gather via Zoom on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13 & 14, from 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon Eastern.
Each day will include a mix of gentle and empathic movement & mobility practices, vision practices, and breath work to keep your body and mind fueled, refreshed, rested, and ready to learn.
We will explore the foundations of a movement practice for the body, from a brain-based perspective, that will ground you in greater stability and ease in your body, with more capacity to focus and release unnecessary tension.
You will learn the basics of how emotions work, and how they can serve you to better understand yourself and the world around you.
You will gain a clearer picture of how you are already working with your emotions and where you might find increased support.
You will learn a general framework of key practices to develop your emotional skills.
We will introduce the four emotion families and their particular members, and learn the necessary energy, intelligence, and actions of each.
Practices will include movement, discussion, writing exercises and several handouts.
Rather than a one-off experience, this weekend retreat is intended to give you skills and knowledge which you can work with and build upon for the rest of your life. A life you love.
